Michel Périn is one of the most experienced co-drivers in the off-road sport. Together with Frenchman Pierre Lartigue, he celebrated three Dakar wins. He joined Team X-raid in 2009, secured his first win for the squad in the same year by winning the Baja Spain – and won a stage of the 2010 Dakar Rally. He contested the 2011 season and the 2012 Dakar as navigator of Spanish driver Nani Roma and in the latter, the pairing celebrated a major success by finishing runner-up.
