Oleg has decided to dedicate his life to motoring in 1988, that time he managed to get a higher degree in this sphere. In 1991 he was a part of a team who organized a famous rally marathon Paris-Moscow-Beijing (Master Rally). Oleg worked on organization of Master Rally with his Russian colleagues till it was completely cancelled in 1998.

Also that period Oleg collaborated with KAMAZ, he was looking for possible partners for the team and organized tourist trips for foreigners through Russia (Northern Pole, Vladivostok etc.)

For the first time Oleg participated at Dakar as a co-pilot of journalist’s car in 1993. At the Dakar 1994 he was a co-pilot of a russian sport crew, piloting by Grigoriy Nikishkin. Oleg was really impressed by this Event and maybe one day he will even write a book about it! Since 1999 till 2002 Tyupenkin didn’t participate in any motoring competitions. Then Oleg continued with Yarovit Team. He actively participated in races with a pilot whose name was Andrey Biryukov. Oleg Tyupenkin and Leonid Novitskiy met each other in 2003.

Firstly they had only business affairs, but then they started to race together – it all finished with the perfect sport union, which still continues accomplishing their assigned missions. For short period of time the crew participated at trial, then they started to perform in Cross- Country Rallies. In 2005 they bought a 4x4 Mitsubishi Pajero of diesel category, exactly with this car Noviskiy and Tyupenkin won their first prize – Russian Cup. Then in 2007 they won Russian Championship, further on the crew had 2 successful Dakars and podiums at the World Cup and Baja Cup stages. Since 2008 they race for BMW X-Raid factory team.

It’s very difficult to overestimate a co-pilot’s role in a crew, although it is a pilot who drives, he still stays “driven”, because co-pilot shows him the right way. Oleg Tyupenkin – is a professional world-class co-pilot! His huge experience leads this crew to victories in Russian and International competitions.
