delta4x4 and the X-raid motorsport team are pooling their extensive off-road experience. Both teams recently proved their prowess at the legendary Dakar Rally. While X-raid competed in the modern overall standings, battling for top times, delta4x4 mastered the historical challenges of the Dakar Classic. To provide the X-raid team with optimal on-site support, the two companies combined their competencies to equip four MAN TGE service vehicles with a specially developed kit.

The MAN TGE Cross-Country Kit in Detail
The four service vehicles underwent comprehensive modifications to meet the demanding requirements of the rally and serve as a reliable base for the X-raid team. Each vehicle received the following upgrades:

Suspension: A 40 mm lift on both the front and rear axles for maximum ground clearance in rugged terrain.
Wheels and Tires: Klassik_B RUGGED 18-inch aluminum wheels fitted with Loder AT #1 All-Terrain tires. These tires stand out with their distinctive white lettering and feature the 3PMSF snowflake symbol.
Body: Robust fender flares to protect the wheel arches and provide a powerful, aggressive look.
Lighting and Front Protection: A massive front bull bar equipped with high-performance PIAA Rally auxiliary lights for optimal visibility during nighttime desert stages.
Accessories: A practical rear ladder for quick and safe access to the roof, which simultaneously functions as a robust spare wheel carrier.

Superior Handling on Sand and Asphalt
X-raid Team Principal Sven Quandt completed the entire service route of the Dakar 2026 – covering over 4,000 km across Saudi Arabia – in the MAN TGE equipped with the Cross-Country Kit. He summarizes the advantages of the new setup: “These targeted modifications provide a significant improvement in handling. On deep sand, the special Loder tires offer improved grip and outstanding traction. At the same time, the MAN TGE benefits enormously from the larger rims on paved roads. The unpleasant ‘tire squirm’ (sidewall flex) during cornering is reduced, which noticeably increases driving stability on the road.”
