Baja Portalegre: Third place for the Baud family in the Ultimate class

Another important step for Lionel and Lucie Baud in the FIA World Baja Cup. The father-daughter duo secured third place in the Ultimate class at the Baja Portalegre in their MINI JCW Rally 3.0i. In the overall classification, they finished the Baja in 13th position. On the narrow stages, the smaller and more agile Side-by-Sides had a clear advantage.
Lionel and Lucie Baud impressed above all on the first two stages. This was only the second rally for the French duo in the MINI JCW Rally 3.0i. Showing strong pace, they fought their way up to third overall, setting themselves up with an excellent starting position for the Cup standings. However, a technical issue on the final stage cost them valuable time and dropped them back in the overall standings. Despite this setback, they secured third place in the Ultimate category, gaining further valuable experience in the MINI JCW Rally 3.0i as well as points in the FIA World Baja Cup.
The next event for the X-raid Team is the Qatar International Baja from October 28 – 31, 2026.
