Baja TT Sharish: Gameiro in the top 10 of the Ultimate class

The X-raid team and the female duo Maria Gameiro and Rosa Romero had very little time to catch their breath. Just a few days after the Baja España Aragón, the Baja TT Sharish in Portugal was on the agenda. However, there was enough time to gather sufficient strength. On Sunday afternoon, the MINI JCW Rally 3.0d crew finished in eighth place, landing in the top 10 of the Ultimate classification. In the overall standings, Gameiro and Romero finished the Baja TT Sharish in 22nd place. Paul Spierings and Jeannette Kvick finished their third joint rally-raid event in tenth place in the Challenger class.
On the narrow tracks around the Portuguese town of Reguengos de Monsaraz, near the Spanish border, the smaller and more agile side-by-sides had a clear advantage. As a result, 17 vehicles in the top 25 belong to the Challenger and SSV classes. Nevertheless, Maria Gameiro and Rosa Romero managed the four special stages well in the larger MINI JCW Rally 3.0d. At the finish line, they initially secured sixth place in the Ultimate class. However, a time penalty pushed Gameiro back to eighth place.
For the X-raid team, action continues immediately in Morocco, where the service park for the Rallye du Maroc opens in Agadir on Thursday.
