With this set, MINI drivers are perfectly prepared for adventure – whether off-road or in the city. Should large stones or kerbs have left behind a few scratches, then simply replace the side guard. This is why X-raid has been using the special off-road rims for years at the legendary Dakar Rally.
The rims have been a feature of the service fleet’s MINI Countrymans, which team members use to get from one bivouac to the next. The service cars may spend most of their time at the Dakar on public roads, but these are not always in good condition. Potholes and gravel passages are commonplace. The robust rims help to prevent punctures on the MINI Countryman. The mechanics also install the rim ring, making it unnecessary to replace the entire rim if it is damaged.
