Andalucía Rally postponed until autumn

The third edition of the Andalucía Rally, which was scheduled to take place from 7 to 12 June, has to be postponed. The third round of the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) cannot take place due to the current heat wave and drought. For X-raid, too, the news came at very short notice. The preparations had already been completed and the trucks would have started tomorrow.
The extreme weather conditions have considerably increased the fire risk in the region, so that the local authorities have declared the highest alert level. Therefore, despite the full support of the local authorities, all parties involved have decided that it is not possible to stage the rally at this point in time. The Andalucía Rally will now take place in autumn. An exact date has not yet been set.
