Before the Dakar

Mandatory for all competitors

• Limited social interactions
• Negative PCR test two days before traveling to Jeddah
• Getting a seasonal flu vaccine

Strongly recommended

• PCR test one week before travelling
• Anticipating replacement staff
• Being cautious during events with family and friends

Arrival in Jeddah

• 48h self-isolation followed by a PCR test
• Respect of sanitary rules
• Limited access
• Strict limitation of all movements
• Strict limitation of social interactions

During the Dakar

• Building a sanitary bubble
  • PCR-Test
  • no guests
  • no hotels / restaurants outside of the bivouac
  • limited interaction during bivouav-to-bivouac
• Controlling the sanitary bubble
  • mobile testing lab
  • evacuation due to a positive PCR test (individual or clusters)
  • no contact with public
  • Anti COVID manager and patrols
• Living the sanitary bubble
  • Shared spaces will be adapted and sanitized regularly
  • Team bivouac spots and venues must be adapted and sanitized regularly
