Before the Dakar
Mandatory for all competitors
- Limited social interactions
- Negative PCR test two days before traveling to Jeddah
- Getting a seasonal flu vaccine
Strongly recommended
- PCR test one week before travelling
- Anticipating replacement staff
- Being cautious during events with family and friends
Arrival in Jeddah
- 48h self-isolation followed by a PCR test
- Respect of sanitary rules
- Limited access
- Strict limitation of all movements
- Strict limitation of social interactions
During the Dakar
- Building a sanitary bubble
- PCR-Test
- no guests
- no hotels / restaurants outside of the bivouac
- limited interaction during bivouav-to-bivouac
- Controlling the sanitary bubble
- mobile testing lab
- evacuation due to a positive PCR test (individual or clusters)
- no contact with public
- Anti COVID manager and patrols
- Living the sanitary bubble
- Shared spaces will be adapted and sanitized regularly
- Team bivouac spots and venues must be adapted and sanitized regularly
